Starting today, users of Gaytalk.net will see a notification advising them to upload a profile picture. Currently, this is active in one Telegram group and is still in a test phase, but we are already providing an explanation of why this notification appears and why we are doing this.
Why am I receiving this notification?
As part of this test, users who have not set a profile picture will receive a notification from the bot. Please note that your profile picture must be public. Otherwise, the bot will continue to indicate that you need to set a profile picture. Also, it is not mandatory to use your face; you can use a building, your pet, or whatever you wish to be. Once you have set your profile picture to public, no notification will appear.
Why are we doing this?
Although this is currently a test in one Telegram group, it is conceivable that we will roll it out to multiple groups. We at GayTalk are always innovating; this happens both behind the scenes and in front of the scenes. We implemented this to be closer to one another and to make it more personal, because let’s be honest, isn’t it much more fun to talk to someone who has a nice profile picture than a blank one? That is why we implemented this.
If more groups follow, we will provide an update; for now, we are sticking to 1 group as a test.
