No, it is not required. Members with a photo do get noticeably more responses. You can also make photos visible to members or friends only.

We moderate profiles and photos, you control who sees what, and you can delete your account at any time. You do not have to use your real name.

No. The forum, messages and group pages all work on the site itself. Linking Telegram is optional — useful if you want to join the chat groups.

Yes. The live chat on the site runs on a real IRC network. Connect to irc.gaytalk.net (port 6697 with SSL, or 6667 without) and join #gaytalk-en. Other languages: #gaytalk-nl, #gaytalk-tl, #gaytalk-es.

You must be 18 years or older to join GayTalk.

We protect the community against spambots. One checkbox is enough — afterwards you can join the Telegram groups right away.

The three most common causes:

1. For the Telegram group chats your account must be verified once via the verify link in the group.
2. Your account may be (temporarily) blocked by an admin — ask via contact.
3. The live chat on the site does not load because of an ad-blocker or strict browser — try another browser or disable the blocker.

Yes, we have a Discord — but we don't link it publicly. Ask for it via the contact form or ask one of the admins on Telegram.
