1. What are cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device. GayTalk only uses functional and analytics cookies; we do not place third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

2. Which cookies we use

  • Session and login cookies (WordPress/Ultimate Member): keep you logged in and secure forms. Essential; removed on logout or when you close the browser (or after a short period).
  • pll_language (Polylang): remembers your language choice, 1 year.
  • Enfold cookies (aviaCookieConsent etc.): remember theme preferences such as cookie consent and font choices.
  • Matomo (statistix.biz): anonymous visit statistics on our self-hosted Matomo installation — no sharing with third parties.
  • Cloudflare: security cookies (e.g. challenge/tokens) to keep bots out.

3. Third-party cookies

  • Google reCAPTCHA places cookies on the login and Telegram verification pages (bot detection).
  • Embedded content (e.g. social media links) may place cookies from those parties when you click them.

4. Managing cookies

You can delete or block cookies via your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies means logging in and parts of the site will not work properly.
