From now on, GayTalk.net users will see a notice advising them to upload a profile photo. This is currently active in one Telegram group as a test phase, but we want to explain in advance why this notice exists and why we are doing this.

Why am I getting this notice?

As part of this test, users who have not set a profile photo will receive a message from the bot. Please note that your profile photo must be set to public. Otherwise the bot will keep telling you to set a profile photo. You are not required to use your face — it can also be a building, your pet, or anything you like. Once you have set a profile photo to public, the notice will stop.

Why are we doing this?

Although this is still a test in one Telegram group, it is possible that we will roll it out to more groups. At GayTalk we are always improving, both behind the scenes and in front of them. We introduced this to bring the community closer together and make it more personal — because honestly, it is much nicer to talk to someone with a nice profile photo than to an empty profile.

If more groups follow, we will post an update. For now it remains a test in one group.
